Music & Mind
The Acoustic Project
The Acoustic Project (TAP) is a student-led initiative using music to explore the mind, foster connection, and create meaningful community impact.
Who We Are
A student led initiative with a musical background and an interest in showcasing the bridge between music and the mind.
What We Do
We perform live acoustic sets, host public awareness events, and curate a digital journal of musical memories shared directly by our community.
TAP Services
What TAP actually does in the community.
TAP Performances
Recurring live acoustic performances to communities that support the mind and well-being across San Diego.
TAP Initiatives
Our awareness initiatives use music to encourage conversations about brain health, memory, and wellbeing through community outreach, musical experiences, and educational engagement.
TAP Journal
Our journal exploring the intersection of music, neuroscience, and human experience through research insights, scientific discoveries, and reflections on how music influences memory, emotion, and cognition.

Community Initiatives
Our awareness initiatives focus on using music as a platform to promote understanding of the connection between music, the brain, and overall wellbeing. These initiatives may include community-based musical experiences, outreach efforts, and opportunities for individuals to engage with the role music plays in memory, emotion, and human connection.
